It’s been four years since Beck put out an album, 2008′s Modern Guilt, so it’s about that time for a new one to be hitting shelves soon, no?
Good news: The newest album, Song Reader, will be released in December.
Bad news: It’ll be in sheet music form only.
So for those of you who excel in your particular instrument, you’re in luck, because you can hear his new tracks yourself. Literally.
Well, you can hear yourself play them, but not Beck himself. There’s no real word that we’ll get any studio releases of these 20 tracks any time soon, or even at all.
The album will, however, include full color illustrations from several different artists, so you could at least have something nice to look at while you’re attempting to read the sheet music.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Beck will play some of these tracks at his future live performances, at the very least.
