Formed over 30 years ago in their native Australia, duo ethereal rockers Dead Can Dance have finally rejoined to get to work on their newest album in 16 years, Anastasis.
The duo is currently preparing for their world tour in honor of their reuniting, as well as in support of the album to be released tomorrow.
In an interview with Pitchfork, the band talked about their decision to return to the music world.
“Coming back into each other’s worlds again after being separated for such a long period of time, it’s almost like you have to remember and remind yourself what it was that provoked you to come back together in the first place. Music is something that we’ll never ever be able to live without.”
Fans in Austin can see them on Sept. 7 at the Moody Theater, their only Texas stop of the tour.
