I am not afraid to admit that it took more than one listen before Four Tet’s remix of Hot Chip’s “Look At Where Are” before it really took hold of me. In fact, it was not until I came across the video for it that it all began to make sense.
Of course, that turned out to be because it was the original version of the song. Four Tet’s remix is a modern version of the song with its own dynamic that emerges about three minutes in to the track. It’s a worthy of listening to for sure, but I think I prefer the original. What can I say, I’m a loyalist (and not to the English Monarchy either). Maybe it is because I don’t like change…
