From Parade Of Flesh

In the past half hour I’ve watched two new music videos, and both have done a perfect job of making me wonder…well, a lot of things really. One of the videos actually made me dizzy at one point. But I will do anything to report to you lovely readers the best there is in new music video releases, and so here we are.

Are you ready to enter an alternate dimension? (It’s Monday, why wouldn’t you?) Check out these videos to help you out.

I’ll start out with the lightest one, TEEN’s “Electric,” which we featured on the most recent Tuesday Tracks, and now there’s an equally interesting video to accompany the mysteriousness of the track.

Featuring plenty of translucent optical illusions over some backward and forward hipster moves, “Electric” is the one that made me a little dizzy at one point, but all in good fun. It’s actually a really interesting and intriguing video. Check it out for yourself.

And to hype you up even more, Parade of Flesh is bringing the ladies of TEEN to Bryan Street Tavern on Oct. 21, alongside New Yorkers Hospitality. Check out the event info here.

And for the second video, the trippiest of the trippy. I’m honestly not sure I’ve seen a weirder video than this one (but if you have an argument for another, let me know on Twitter, I’m curious to see what beats this).

Presenting “Brats” from Liars, more recently known for their single “No. 1 Against the Rush.” This video is a weird, glitched-out CGI fest featuring a new age Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, and when I say glitched-out, I mean glitched-out. I’m talking Bugs Bunny does his best Bernie at one point (don’t ask me why I know what the Bernie is. I just do).

And it’s pretty much three minutes of classic Looney Tunes antics, weird dancing, tumbling and humanoid movements. Prepare yourself.

Now get back to work, and try your best to act normal.
