WHY?

It’s been three years since fans have heard new material from WHY?, the four-man hip hop/indie/folk band from California.

This fall, WHY? is back with a new album, Sod in the Seed (out August 14), and a shiny new list of tour dates. Judging from the album’s title track, the break has not stifled their creative juices.

WHY? first popped onto the scene in 2003, but has undergone multiple band member changes throughout the years. With the release of their two most recent album’s, Alopecia and Eskimo Snow (2008 and ’09), WHY?’s popularity grew to new lengths.  A creative mix of genres, bluntly honest lyrics and rhythmic, catchy beats have made this band stand out among the rest.

Anticon, the band’s record label, promises the new album to be a familiar, but updated version of what WHY? fans have come to know and love. With a long list of tour dates, listeners will have plenty of opportunities to decide for themselves.
